City of Barrett Fire Department

Barrett FD covers about 108 sq mi of west-central Minnesota — the city of Barrett plus Lien, Elk Lake, and Erdahl townships in Grant County. Twenty active volunteers run out of the 2nd Street station, serving roughly 1,100 residents across the city and the three rural townships.

The department sits in lake country — the Pomme de Terre River runs through town and feeds Barrett Lake right on the city's edge, with Elk Lake a few miles south. In-town is hydranted off the municipal system; rural calls run on draft and tanker shuttle.
